> Sterling Land Trust Affordable Housing Initiative (Phase II) Plans are in motion to build efficiency style quad apartment units on existing land own by the Trust

> Sterling Community Memorial Grove (Statues and trees to be erected on the corner of Malloy and Jenkins Street)

> Grant writer skills, person willing to assist with Grant Writing Activities

> Creating and/or the development of signage that clearly marks the Gateway Entrance into
Historical Sterling Community

> Volunteers to work with Sterling Pride Farm

> Volunteers to work with Sterling Community Organizer on the Day of Hope Day of Healing initiatives

> Persons to assist with advocating for the Sterling Community at City and/or County Council Meetings

> Assist with Graphic Art Designers efforts for Neighborhood Association when needs occur

> Assist the Neighborhood Association with Event Planning efforts

> Assist Senior who live in Sterling with minor home repairs when identified or requested by homeowner’s resident

> Young people available to assist with Set-up and Break-down for community events

> Someone who may assist with photo taking opts to be used when submitting Grants proposals

  • Donate funds for affordable housing builds and memorial projects in the Sterling community
  • Support the Sterling Community Memorial Grove project through advocacy and fundraising
  • Volunteer with the Sterling Pride Farm
  • Assist with the development of signage that clearly marks the Gateway Entrance in Historical Sterling Community
  • Volunteer your skills with grant writing or photography for grant application

 

Support the Sterling Community Center

  • Volunteer to help with Sterling Community Center programs, tutoring, and leading special programs for children and seniors
  • Donate funds to assist with programs and community center improvements for Sterling’s children, youth, and seniors
  • Attend community events held at the center
